The Cuvee des Enchanteleurs 1998 is now at its peak with a silky, fine-pearled palate and complex flavours of toast, brioche and hazelnuts. It is made from half Chardonnay and half Pinot Noir and comes from the best Grand Cru vineyards of the house. You can drink it wonderfully now, but there is no rush as it seems younger.

The Cuvée des Enchanteleurs was Champagne Henriot's prestige vintage cuvée. It came onto the market in the 1970s with the 1964 vintage and for the last time with the 2000 vintage, after which it was replaced by the ‘Cuvée Hemera’. Its name comes from the cellar workers (‘enchanteleurs’) who used to have the privilege of making their own small cuvées from top-quality grapes.

The cuvée consists of 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Chardonnay, exclusively from six Grand Cru communes: Mailly-Champagne, Verzy, Verzenay (Montagne de Reims) and Avize, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Chouilly (Côte des Blancs)
