Diese Flaschen wurden bei Krug bis Dezember 2024 gelagert und zeigen die unglaubliche Frische, die eine perfekte Lagerung mit sich bringt. 2000 ist ein sehr gutes Champagner Jahr, das eigentllich jetzt auf dem Höhepunkt ist, sodass Krug 2000 eine Ausnahme ist. Der Jahrgang 2000 hat Körper und Charme aber nicht die klassische Säurestruktur von 1996, die besonders beim Krug sehr ausgeprägt ist. Er ist eher mit 2002 vergleichbar.

Currently extremely mineral driven and sea sprinkled. Iodine, iodine, oyster shells and a little fine breadiness in the aroma. Crispy clean and beautiful balanced taste. Impressive acid for the vintage and delightfully elegant.
Essi Avelan 95 essiavelan.com ( 2019 tasting of bottles released in 2015) This is one my favourite Krugs of the recent years in its macho richness and muscular structure. The stylish oaky note is finely integrated to the intense fireworks of aromas ranging from coffee and patisserie to vanilla, oriental spice and dried fruits. Sits beautifully on the reductive side, aging slowly. Never-ending, impressively concentrated finish full of succulent fruit. Great ageing potential but blooming already.
