Eric Rodez Les Beurys Pinot Noir 2018 from the single vineyard Les Beurys in the Grand Cru Ambonnay is already impressive today. Due to its structure and suppressed malolactic fermentation, it is expected to reach its peak in six years at the earliest.
Les Beurys is located high on the slope in Ambonnay below the edge of the forest. The terroir is particularly mineral. Les Beurys has a brilliant, fine salty minerality and perfectly integrated acidity. It is the perfect accompaniment to an entire menu and also goes well with strong dishes.
After training in Burgundy and at Krug, Eric Rodez took over the family winery in 1984 as the eighth generation. Today, under the management of his son Mikael, the winery is one of the producers of the most expressive and distinctive wines far removed from the mainstream. With its great success, the prices now also reflect an elite status.
