Krug Grande Cuvée Édition 165 – luxurious, mature pleasure at its finest

The Cuvée

The 165th Édition of Krug Grande Cuvée is composed of 127 different wines from nine vintages. The base vintage is 2009, enriched with reserve wines stretching back to 1990. It already displays distinctly mature, nutty aromas of hazelnut, almond and marzipan, while the fruit of apple and lemon is lifted by a fine, vibrant minerality.

Grande Cuvée has been numbered since the founding of the house, but only starting with Édition 1963 does the number appear on the label. If a Grande Cuvée bears an earlier number on the label, it is a later release (dégorged later). Each new Édition represents a fresh interpretation of Grande Cuvée (formerly known as “Private Cuvée”) — a wine that evolves extremely slowly and can remain fascinating for decades.
