This Blanc de Noirs, made from over 100-year-old Pinot Noir vines that have survived even the Phylloxera, is one of the rarest and most sought-after Champagnes. In the 2008 vintage, it already enjoys cult status. With 3000 bottles and comments like Richard Juhlin's "an absolutely fantastic and shockingly intense world class wine", this is no wonder. The Croix Rouge vineyard has now had to be replanted on resistant rootstock, leaving only the Chaudes Terres and Clos St Jaques plots for the VV Francaises.
