Allthough still not at its peek RD 1988 is beautiful now with grilled hazelnut, mushroom, dried apricot, nougat and smoky gunpowder flavours which are typical pinot noir aromas in champagne.

It will be exciting to see when this wine reaches its peak. Very delicious and nutty on magnum, but completely knotted and unredeemed on jeroboam. Goes from clarity to clarity as one of the best Bollinger vintages.
