- Grande Annee 2004 ist slowly reaching peak form
- One of the finest Grande Annee wines for today and the next 10 years
Grande Annee 2004 has the fruitiness of ripe yellow apples and lemons, supported by a pronounced walnut spice. The full palate is permeated by a lively acidity, which, together with the mineral tingle, creates an impression of freshness and excitement. The finish is long and ends with toasted notes. The Grande Annee 2004 continues to develop well for several days after opening. It becomes increasingly complex and elegant. The lemon notes give way to orange zest and the walnut to white nougat. It is still a few years away from its peak and has excellent ageing potential, which is unusual for this delicious but also demanding vintage. 2004 is a perfect representative of the nutty, full-bodied classic Bollinger style.
