Description
  • Intense lemon fruit and creamy fullness
  • Young, nutty notes emerge only slowly

Bollinger R.D. 1995

The Essentials in Brief

R.D. has an intense lemon fruit and is beginning to open up, after having long passed its first drinking window. It has a lot of charm and fruit that envelops its structure. The acidity, unlike in 1996, is so well integrated that it is hardly noticeable.

For a Bollinger, it is not very oxidative. Nutty notes are still very subtle and will develop in the future.

This bottle was disgorged on 12 July 2004 with 3 g/l. The fill level, the colour, the label and the capsule are perfect.

The 1995 Vintage

After four years with difficult vegetation cycles, 1995 brought ripe grapes and good yields. The year is not as concentrated as 1996 but of perfect harmony. The champagnes have never closed up and today show incredible fruit and freshness.Warm, sunny days, perfect acid retention.
