Personal advice
It should be opened a few hours before drinking. The Charles Heidsieck Brut 2012 smells of roasted hazelnuts, brioche and lemon, mirabelle, dried apricot, honey and candied orange. There are also light smoky notes of toast and coffee. The palate is characterised by vanilla, brioche, coffee beans and yellow fruits. However, it needs a few hours of aeration to develop these aromas, if it is optimally stored bottles. The 2012 vintage from Heidsieck fulfils all expectations: it is powerful and precise. The texture on the palate is creamy, but in a deeper layer full of mineral energy. The finish is very long with a mineral-salty finish. It can already be drunk well now, but will become even more complex. It shows the house style: lemon and toast aromas meet a full, silky palate full of fine details.
