Personal advice
Dom Pérignon 2008 delights with the finest balance of strength, freshness and elegance. Flavours of roasted almonds, brioche, citrus fruit, apricot and mirabelle plum are combined with a silky texture and precise acidity. The minerality is deep in the wine and gives it energy - a champagne with depth and ageing potential.
The 2008 vintage is a fascinating delight. The long yeast ageing gives it a silky palate, but if you prefer a particularly creamy texture, the 2002 and 2004 vintages are even better. The 2008 has a distinctly salty, mineral tingle. The 2008 is ideal for collectors and connoisseurs who want to follow its development over decades.
2008 is considered one of the best vintages of recent decades. It combines the maturity of 1990 with the structure of 1996. The summer is cool with little sunshine. The acidity remains high. However, thanks to the mild, dry autumn, the grapes still reach a high level of ripeness. The slow ripening contributes to complex, noble aromas.
Already impressive today, but with great potential: ideal from 2028 until 2050
In addition to the classic version, there is also the Luminous Edition (with LED), the Artist Edition (Lenny Kravitz) and the rare Legacy Edition - identical in content, but with a different design.
If you prefer a softer palate and more developed flavours, 2002 and 2004 are a good choice. 2006 is a good choice if you value strength.
