- Elegant, mineral, fresh vintage
- Beginning to reach drinking maturity with potential
The Laurent Perrier 2008 is at the beginning of its drinking window. It pleases with aromas of lemon, apple, white bread, almond, vanilla, grapefruit and brioche. It is lively, fresh and precise. It consists of equal parts Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from Grand Cru vineyards in the Côte de Blancs and Montagne de Reims. It displays the brilliant acidity of 2008, but is not overly dry thanks to the now well-integrated dosage. After a few hours of aeration, it develops additional complexity. The finish reveals notes of toast.
Laurent-Perrier Brut Millésimé 2008 is a distinctly fresh, elegant and mineral vintage champagne with great ageing potential. With its balance, complexity and clarity, it is a prime example of the house style in an outstanding year.
