Gosset Celebris has only been available as a rose in four vintages since it was first launched 25 years ago. As allways it is also mainly a Chardonnay with 72% content. Of the 28% Pinot Noir, 20% is Champagne and 8% is red still wine from Ambonnay, Bouzy and Cumieres. On the nose, it has notes of strawberry, pepper, peach and apricot. On the palate, cherry and blood apple dominate in a fresh overall impression that is supported by the low dosage of 6.5 g. The minerality is also evident in the still wine. The freshness is also evident in the mineral, salty finish. The Chardonnay comes from Avize, Cramant, Cuis, Vertus, Trepail and Villers Mamery. The Pinot Noir comes from Ay, Ambonnay, Bouzy and Cumieres. After the long yeast ageing of 12 years, it is now in an attractive drinking window, but will close again. It has the structure for a long evolution. Only 15000 bottles have been produced.
