Anne Gros owns vineyards in one of the best locations in Clos Vougeot. The Grand Maupertuis is located at the upper end of the vineyard between the Chateau de Clos de Vougeot and the wall that separates it from the Grands Echezeaux. 1995 is a concentrated, very structured year, so that Anne Gros' Clos-de-Vougeot 1995 is only now reaching its peak. Its aromas are characterised by red fruits, cherries and spices but there are also floral notes. This is an excellent Clos de Vougeot.
