Dom Perignon P2 2006

Dom Perignon 2006 ist konzentriert und hat Körper und Kraft. Der P2 hat die volle Frucht des Jahrgangs und die typischen Dom Perignon Aromen. Im Vergleich zum normalen Dom Perignon 2006 besitzt der P2 eine größere Komplexität und eine größere mineralische Spannunge und Frische, was durch die geringere Dosage unterstützt wird.

Antonio Galloni 98 vinous.com The 2006 Dom Pérignon P2 is magnificent. Rich and soaring in its intensity, the P2 is absolutely stunning. What comes through most is the style of the year more than the style of the P2 series. Tangerine, apricot, mint, white pepper, passionfruit and spice all race out of the glass. The ripeness of the year is evident, but all the elements are so masterfully balanced. The balance of exoticness and freshness is just mind-blowing.
 

Richard Juhlin 96 (now 95) champagneclub.com compares the Dom Perignon P2 2006 to the 2006 (P1) and writes:  The dosage is lower (4.5 grams) and the purity greater. The minerality and stringency with a certain tannic bitterness come through nicely in P2 and already now the wine offers a magnificent pleasure. The fruit is of course monumental and ripe as it should be from this round and packed year. My first bottle felt fully mature while my second had that slight resistance that slow autolytic build-up brings. The classic Dom Pérignon spectrum is present with an accent on orange, passion fruit, coffee and pine nuts. Silky mouthfeel and long, luscious, well-balanced finale. A wine that will last an incredibly long time and is highly recommended.
